Message: Miss Pooja was Born on 4th December 1979, Her real name was Gurinder Kaur Kainth. She is purely Sagittarius. Her parents were Inderpal Kainth and Saroj Devi. She has a sister Maninder and a brother Manpreet. She was born into a Punjabi Nirankari family in Rajpura, Punjab.
With interest in music and dancing from a young age, Miss Pooja started music lessons at the tender age of 5 and was encouraged by her father. As well as having professional tuition, she progressed in her studies by qualifying with a B.A. in Vocal & Instrumental skills, M.A. in Music and B.Ed in Music. As her first music related post, she taught music to young children in Rajpura for two years before embarking on her singing career. award.
Miss Pooja has sung duets with singers like Darshan Khella, Geeta Zaildar, Mamohan Sidhu and Amar Arshi. Many of the songs that she has performed are by the Punjabi song writer Karamjit Puri.
Her debut album was Jan Ton Piyari. Her album Queen of Duets was also well received. Some her popular songs include 'Bhan Chooriyan Pyar Tera Dekhdi Ne', 'Seeti', 'Jhona Lona Chad Dena' and 'Teeyan Teej Diyan'.
She has sung over 1500 songs and released over 200 albums as of February 2010. She has been described as "the driving force of Punjabi music".
In 2007 a Miss Pooja live session was broadcast in the UK on BBC Asian Network.In 2008 Miss Pooja toured the UK sharing a bill with other Punjabi artists including Jazzy B and Preet Brar. She toured the United States later the same year.In 2009 Miss Pooja won Best International Act at the UK Asian Music Awards.
Miss Pooja will make her acting debut in the Punjabi film Punjaban - Loves Rules .. Heart. She will be essaying a double role.

From her traditional Punjabi attire, long, silky hair, and understated accessories, Miss Pooja's simplicity has helped get the recognition for her talent that she deserves. Miss Pooja has now successfully attained international recognition and has toured the USA, Canada, Australia and the UK amongst many other countries. She has a huge following by fans world-wide. Especially a strong male following, notably attracted to her beauty and her uniqueness as a Punjabi female artist. For women, she represents a strong role model, encouraging them to enter this male dominated industry but makes it clear that entering this arena requires a passion to learn music properly and the determination to succeed.
At the early age of 14 she got the award for singing 'Mirza'.She also got the best student award while doing her graduation. After that while teaching two years in school , she got the best music teacher award.
Before 2006 Duets get the second position in Punjabi music industry and after entry of MISS POOJA , now whenever there is party, function, marriage, corporate event or star night only Miss Pooja's song was there. I think she has created the History.
